The Japanese are known for being detailed-oriented. But, being the cynical and pragmatic me, allow me to be cynical: hey, all they want is the bling bling (that means $$) in your wallet (or bank, if you use NETS/VISA/ Mastercard), so you don't have to be 'touched' by their effort. It'll be against their very instinct not to print some map and thus, risk leaving a noobie to Kino (like me) lost and not spending a cent eventually.

Well, doesn't matter what's their motive for printing the map - it's a win-win situation for both Kinokuniya consumers and shareholders. ;)
